At Halker’s Wildlife Control we focus on actually solving your wildlife problem and providing the correct solutions to do so.
It seems as though some of our competitor’s only goal is to sell the highest project possible. Unfortunately, the salesmen there are incentivized to do so.
Here are some things to watch out for :
- A charge on an estimate for drip edge inspection. The drip edge should be inspected already to know if it is a problem or not.
- Insulation replacement or vapor barrier removal with no exclusion work. This will not stop animals from re-entering your home. They will just soil the new material.
- A company that specializes in bug work providing animal trapping services. These are extremely different skill sets.
- If you have squirrels or raccoons in your attic and the inspector drives a car with no ladder. This is a bad sign.
- Someone who uses a measuring wheel for their estimate without actually inspecting the roof.
- Scare tactics: someone who continuously emphasizes the dangers of the animals in your home. Yes, it is dangerous to handle feces and animals do carry diseases. A salesperson that exaggerates this information to get you to sign their quote is a red flag.
- If you get a quote and the inspector doesn’t know where the animals are getting in.
- Monthly animal repellents. If all that was necessary to deter animal problems was a simple spray around the house ,we wouldn’t have any work.
Quality
We use products made for wildlife exclusion. There are products that for houses that are standard construction, but they are not wildlife resistant. The material and products we use are designed to stop wildlife.
